From the womb, a subconscious love for fashion flowed through John Dowgiallo.
A primarily menswear designer, John’s mash-up of inspiration includes a love for the beach, surfing, skate/cycling culture, robotics, city life, modern sportswear, vintage garments and craftsmanship, classic tailoring, Aubrey Beardsley, the elegance of the film Metropolis, graphic design, art, music, and fashion. That’s the short list… Balancing an esthetic that embodies fine vintage & modern elements in garment construction & focused attention to details, John pushes himself beyond to discover new takes on garments. Through a constant exploration of unexpected, unique themes evolves something new, mysterious, cool, eclectic, fun, & elegant. He strives to use a combination of the best newest technical & traditional fabrics creating a wearable, yet edgy, futuristic now style. A Parson’s The New School For Design Spring 2015 graduate, his specialty is menswear, but he creates womenswear with an equal gusto. At the end of the day he is simply a designer for all. |
